frustration

I'm feeling a bit of frustration with my kids today. Megan just won't clean her room! No matter what we take away or do she just won't do it!!! I told her if she cleaned her room I'd buy her some new shoes, she was very excited for a bit but still didn't clean up her room. I get her started, tell her what to do, help her. It doesn't matter!! The girl cannot keep her room clean and once it's messy cannot clean it. I will have to go in there and once again spend hours cleaning it. I hate doing it. We think we need to just get rid of everything in there but her clothes, and maybe get rid of most of them too so she can learn to take care of what she has.

The boys are rough with each other, Eli is mean to Drew, Drew is mean to Josh, and Josh is mean to smaller children (at church nursery or at the nursery where I donate plasma) he will push babies down and steal toys from them!!! How do I get them to get along and be nice???

  1. When we couldn't keep the kids' rooms clean, we did take out everything except what belongs in a bedroom. That REALLY helped. Also, what works for Austin is to set the timer and make him work on something for a set number of minutes, then take a break and do something else. It takes longer but he actually gets more done and doesn't get so distracted.

As for the boys being rough...well, I'm no help there, my kids are the same way except they only do it to each other.

    Good Luck!
