Sickness

Seems to be everywhere .. Megan is home from school today with the cold/cough sickness that I had earlier this month.  Yesterday I had the stomach flu....Saturday/Sunday Josh had the stomach flu.  The week before that Drew had it.  Time for us to get healthy!!!  Thankfully I am feeling a lot better today (not 100% yet) but am able to start getting our home back into some sort of order :)

Yesterday Chad stayed home from work b/c I was out of commission.  Because of the weatherization program through Kent County we received a new furnace!  Tomorrow we will get insulation in all the walls, a new dining room window and a new window in the boys room.  

Megan also had a game against Vanguard yesterday (she played even though she wasn't feeling well) and they won 6-1.  They will have another playoff game tomorrow (Wed).  Not sure of the time yet but she thinks it's against Walker and will be at Marquette park in Wyoming.  

Eli won his game yesterday too.   It was a late game didn't start until 7:30!  But they mercied the team....Eli was pretty happy about that.  I think Chad said the score was 14-2 or 18-2.  :)  

Today Drew & Josh have soccer practice and Chad has his first Mens softball game at CRRC.  Tomorrow Megan and I are supposed to also have our first softball game - but looks like we'll miss it b/c of soccer!  

Yesterday was a busy, emotional, crazy, happy, exhausting day.  I was glad to feel better so I could attend Grandpa Hoolsemas funeral.  I loved hearing all the stories about him.  I know it was a celebration of his long life - but watching that casket go by is so emotional for me.  Bring back memories that are very difficult.  But, made it through, focused on the positive, and spent time with family!  (not long enough though!!)

We hustled out of the church, drove home, quickly changed for Megan's soccer game against Cross Creek.  The girls played well and defeated an undefeated team!  Megan scored her second goal of the season....she also played the whole game!  It rained the whole game and by the end was quite chilly.  I'm not sure of the end score but they won :) 

We came home and I made pizza for dinner.  Good day.  :)
